Henry Thompson
“Enecess transformed my view on energy use. Before, I didn't know my old microwave guzzled power. The app revealed its high consumption. Switching to a low - power one cut my bill. Also, rescheduling my heat pump's heating to off - peak hours slashed its energy use. ”

Oliver Johnson
“Honestly, dealing with electricity bills used to be a nightmare—I had to spend hours checking paper bills and emailing the power company for detailed statements. By using enecess HEMS, I can finally get a clear breakdown of my home's energy consumption.”

James Anderson
”The real-time energy consumption monitoring function is extremely reliable — the power consumption of connected devices can be checked anytime via the APP. Particularly practical is its automatic control feature: when the PV system generates surplus power, the smart socket will start automatically, ensuring optimal utilization of solar energy resources“

from 5 reviewsThe real-time monitoring of energy consumption works very reliably – in the app, I can see at any time how much power the connected devices are drawing. I particularly find the automatic control very practical: when the PV system generates too much electricity, the socket automatically turns on, so I can make optimal use of solar energy.
The setup was really simple; everything was done in just a few minutes. The app is clear, responsive, and even displays trend analyses. This is indeed a great solution to reduce electricity costs and live more sustainably.
I used to be in the dark about this account—with 50 euros deducted every month, I had no idea if I was losing money or making a profit.
I’m really glad about the investment in solar PV. Let’s calculate the returns: from September 17 to October 16 (one month), I sold 139 kWh of electricity to the grid. If we estimate based on this monthly figure, the total annual electricity sold to the grid would be 1,668 kWh. The power company pays me 600 euros per year for the electricity my PV system feeds into the grid, which means the purchase price is 0.36 euros per kWh. I’m very satisfied with this investment decision.
I noticed that the self-consumption rate is relatively low. In fact, I can adjust my electricity usage strategy to increase the self-consumption rate a bit. With a fixed subsidy in place, higher self-consumption will bring more returns.
For the first time, I clearly know where the over 5,000 kWh of electricity per year is used. I no longer have to face any unpleasant surprises when paying the annual electricity bill, and can see exactly how the 2,000 euros spent on electricity each year is allocated.
The power consumption is transparent on a monthly and even daily basis, and I’ve also formed a basic sense of the typical electricity usage range. In the past month, the total household electricity consumption was 355 kWh, averaging around 13 kWh per day. If the daily consumption is abnormal—for example, significantly higher than 13 kWh—I can notice it in time. It would be even better if the app had a reminder function for this.
The ranking of power consumption by all electrical devices lets me clearly identify the energy hogs. For our family, the heat pump, refrigerator, and living room appliances account for nearly half of the total electricity use.
We previously compared Shelly's 3EM Pro, which is typically used for monitoring the main circuit. If you want to monitor more circuits, you need to install multiple units, driving up the total cost. Additionally, the sensor is quite large, making it difficult to install near branch circuit breakers.
The ecoSensor in this set is very thin, so I found it relatively easy to install at branch circuit breaker positions during actual setup. One host can monitor multiple circuits simultaneously.
I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent software functionality. Thanks to the multi-circuit monitoring, I can quickly detect that many devices are in standby mode. Calculations show these devices consume over 400 kWh of electricity annually, and I'm considering purchasing smart sockets to reduce their standby time.
Recently, using this enecess energy monitor, I unexpectedly found a device in my home kitchen that was secretly consuming electricity.
The refrigerator is monitored on a separate circuit. Starting from one day, its energy consumption rose abnormally. I had someone come to check, and it turned out that the temperature control module was broken, causing the compressor to run non-stop.
If the monitor hadn’t alerted me early, this "invisible" power consumption of 250W would have used about 6 kWh of electricity per day. Over half a year, that would have wasted more than 1,000 kWh— I’m really glad I found it in time!
This product supports multi-channel monitoring. It comes with 5 CT sensors as standard, and the main unit can connect up to 10 sensors. I plan to buy another set of sensors later to monitor other major circuits as well, so I can find more hidden electricity usage issues.
